Here you will find a brief history of the gods and goddesses that created and scarred the world as well as further detailed passages on each of the deities.
Before there was anything there were the gods, and from their toil the world was born and populated with the mortal races of man and beast. All worked together to create an existence with purpose and engineer beauty. However to some of these great ones clung avarice, hate, and the seed of betrayal.
When all was complete in a final act four beings of similarly godlike power were created to act as custodians of this world and it’s inhabitants. After successfully establishing the Primordials the gods began preparations to depart from the world of the mortals. Before they could complete their departure however three prominent deities whose hearts were wrapped in malice and greed sought the audiences of the Primordials in an attempt to goad them into rebellion against those who would bind them into custodial duty.
The Primordials were outraged at the concept of no free will and being forced to play wet-nurse to a world of mortals. The created allies and a grand rebellion began, the gods caught by surprise were initially taken aback by the violent attack they sought to reconcile with the Primordials only to be met with the death of one of their number. After that the gods and their many followers took up arms and broke the Primordials stripping them of most of their power and then sealing them in locations where they could be closely observed.
Still weak after their recent battles the gods of good and light set about trying to repair the damage caused by their destructive wrath, when without warning the gods of evil and darkness struck attempting to destroy all who would stand between them and total dominion over the mortal races. In a massive self-sacrificing act He Who Was used all of his power to banish the gods from the mortal realm, so now only throw avatars can the gods visit this world.
